Art and play
Cards to play
and to collect
The back of a card accompanies every hand of play and gives the deck its identity. The NP Cerebrals proposal brings the drawings from the Cerebrali series by Nunzio Franco Pascarella de Capoa into this space through their posthumous colour interpretations: images to observe, recognise and choose, also for the pleasure of collecting them.
The idea is to develop a collection recognisable by subject and colour, accompanying each deck with a reference to the original drawing and a brief history of the image. This would allow personal paths to take shape: choosing a subject, collecting its variants or composing a selection of marks and colour combinations.
The proposal is aimed at playing-card manufacturers, publishers and brands interested in developing individual decks, boxed sets and themed collections together with the Archive. A way to bring the language of NP Cerebrals to the gaming table and into the collections of those who appreciate artist-designed objects.

The boxed set
Two colours,
one game
Each subject can become the starting point for a deck and a family of variants. Pairing two colours of the same drawing makes it possible to envisage a boxed set with two coordinated decks, in which play and the comparison between images are part of the same experience.
